FC Salisbury United reinforce with goals

"FC Salisbury United, newcomers to The FA Futsal Super League have been active in the Summer adding players to their squad as they prepare to compete with the elite of England. The Wiltshire club, owned and managed by Geoffrey Bonner, earned a place in the Super League on their organisation, structure and fan base, despite finishing 2nd in the FA Futsal League Division 2 Midlands last season, behind Kettering, who were denied promotion. While some more established clubs missed out, such as University of Nottingham and Bristol City, nobody would deny a place to the rapidly growing club. Now there, only results will maintain their Super League status, so they've been busy adding experience to the side that finished 2nd in Division 2 last season.

Goal Machines

Salisbury scored more than any other team last season, and don't intend to rest on their laurels. A major coup for the club was the signing of Luke Ballinger, former England captain and leading goalscorer for the national team. Ballinger scored an impressive 41 goals in 11 league games last season (some games still don't have stats entered so probably more). Ballinger will miss at least the opening game of the season due to suspension, but with 21 more games, he'll be a good bet for the Golden Boot. Despite being the leading scorers in all the country last season, they have also added Rafael Ramos, from Southampton and kept Northern Ireland international Connar Miller boasting the three top goalscorers of last season.
